DISKUSI BUZZ GROUP KAITANNYA DENGAN PENGETAHUAN DAN SIKAP SUAMI IBU HAMIL TENTANG TANDA BAHAYA KEHAMILAN
Abstract
Maternal death can be caused by pregnancy complications or complications that are aggravated by pregnancy, or something that occurs along the course of pregnancy management. In carrying out its role as a decision maker in the family, the husband of the pregnant woman needs good knowledge and a positive attitude about maternal and child health. Health education for husbands aims to increase positive knowledge and attitudes towards possible complications during pregnancy. Efforts to increase community activeness in health education activities can be done through Buzz Group discussion methods, namely methods that refer to the principle that the knowledge possessed by each person is accepted by the five senses. The study aimed to determine the effect of the buzz group discussion on the knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women husbands about the danger signs of pregnancy, using a pre-experimental one group pre-test post-test design. The research sample of 32 husbands of pregnant women was taken by purposive sampling in the Sindang Barang Health Center area of Bogor City. Data analysis of knowledge variables using the one sample t test, while the attitude using the Wilcoxon test. The results showed an increase in the average score of knowledge from 47.56 ± 19,717 to 89.10 ± 13,911 p value <0.01. Similarly, the average attitude score increased from 41.56 ± 6.268 to 51.813 ± 9.2167 (p <0.05). Health education with the buzz group discussion method increases knowledge and changes positive attitudes for pregnant women husbands about the danger signs of pregnancy.
