Abstract
Background: Pregnancy makes the mother susceptible to anemia, so food and drink are needed to meet the nutritional needs of the mother and stabilize hemoglobin levels. There are several ways to treat anemia in pregnant women, namely by pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatment. Giving green beans is a non-pharmacological way to increase the hemoglobin level of pregnant women who experience anemia. Purpose: to determine the effectiveness of green beans (vigna radiata) in increasing hemoglobin levels of pregnant women by reviewing several studies. Method: The method used is literature review contained in Health journal database such as Google Scholar, Pubmed, Cochrane Library, and Springer. There are 10 articles that have been analyzed based on full text, open acces, in English and Indonesian published in 2018-2022. Result: The result of a literature review through the journal health database found 16 articles in Google Scholar, 11 articles in Pubmed, 3 articles in the Cochrane Library, and 2 articles in Springer. Shows that there are differences in hemoglobin levels before and after being given green beans to anemia pregnant women. Conclusion: Green beans have a positive effect on anemia pregnant women, where the hemoglobin level of anemia pregnant women increases after being given green beans.
